In Disbelief, Truly

I was truly In Disbelief when I was cast in a short film about a woman suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. What a challenge and what a wonderful experience. The cast and crew were just amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project.

A few shots* of yours truly on set.

Being a poser for the camera.

My character's Marilyn Monroe moment.

Sitting in the wheelchair waiting to shoot the scene.

*Thanks to Tomek, boom operator and set photographer, for sending me these pictures!

The Aqueduct

What a weekend! No, the above photo isn't from my exploits on St Patty's Day...although that would have been a pretty festive costume. This weekend, I was shooting a UCLA short called The Aqueduct. The student director, Chen-Wei Liu, described it as 'An exploration of the cycle of life and death, as seen through the eyes of a woman progressing through different stages of her life.' She used a holographic technique that projected the actors into a mini set. Kinda old school, non computer generated green screen. It was a lot of fun and I'm excited to see the finished product.

I also had a callback for another student film and should find out if I'm cast later this week. That was also a lot of fun. Good times all around!

More From The Don't Go Shoot

Although I wasn't called, I visited the Don't Go set this week. The shoot was quick and painless and they should be complete this weekend.

Don't Go

Today, I shot my part in Miss Amber Sharp's television pilot, Don't Go. It was a quick day for me...I was cast as a medical doctor who diagnoses one of the main character's condition. Gray's Anatomy, here I come! I didn't get a picture of myself in the doctor's jacket [unfortunately you don't get picture proof of how convincing I look as a MD], but I did get a very nice shot of Miss Sharp and me after I was wrapped for the day.
Don't Go continues filming for another week, and once it's totally complete, it will be shopped to networks so that it can get picked up and become your newest weekly addiction. Check out the website for information on some of the cast, crew and a synopsis of the show.
One last picture of the two amazing women who are helming this project and who also made the short I starred in, Triple Minority. Seema Gaur [producer], Amber Sharp [writer/director], me and Vonyse [singer/songwriter]. If you've seen Triple Minority, Vonyse sang and wrote the song that was used as the theme for that movie, Start Over. Besides that, she's just amazing, so go check out her website too.
